Project Description

The existing portable interpretive centre had become a victim of its own success drawing up to 30,000 visitors. IPD was asked to plan a new, more interactive and culturally appropriate learning and viewing facility linked to downtown Whitehorse by the Millennium Trail along the Yukon River.

Project Description

The firm’s principal was hired to advise the client on site location as well as land development and approval issues related to facility site planning, landscaping and infrastructure development. Location: County of Lamont, Alberta.

Devon Gas Plant Expansion/Municipal Annexation

Project Description

This project involved a 320-acre annexation to protect and prepare for future expansion of the existing gas plant. The firm’s principal was responsible for preparing the land development concept, the impact assessment studies and preparing all annexation documents. He facilitated the land acquisition, inter-agency reviews and approvals including obtaining Council support. As a result, formal hearings were waived and Cabinet authorisation was expedited.

The company’s proposed rezoning request and environmental assessment were reviewed. The firm’s principal acted as the technical advisor to the City Solicitor in hearings and negotiations with the company.
